I have been all over Kansas, but I have seen none of it. That’s because the route of Amtrak’s Southwest Chief train goes through Kansas. However, during my journey from New Mexico to Illinois, we arrived in Kansas late in the evening and passed the border to Missouri early in the morning.
I did catch a glimpse of the western side of Kansas City as I woke up in the morning, but before that, I almost literally slept through most of Kansas.
