Want a random city in Belarus? This generator includes 115 towns and cities, from Minsk to Mazyr and everywhere in between.
This random city picker includes towns and cities from all across Belarus—a landlocked country of 9 million people in Eastern Europe, known for its forests, lakes, and post-Soviet architecture. With this generator, you’ll get a random Belarusian settlement—large or small—with its current population and exact location.
Random City in Belarus Generator
This randomizer uses Wikipedia’s list of cities and towns in Belarus. In Belarusian law and language, there is no legal distinction between cities and towns. Because of this, I’ve included all 115 Belarusian settlements categorized as either a town or a city in this randomizer.

My One Week Journey Through Belarus
I haven’t visited a randomly selected place in Belarus, but I have traveled through the country. This was in May 2016, near the beginning of what would become a two-year trip around the world—a few years before the 2020–2021 Belarusian protests, which ultimately did not lead to a change in power.
I spent a few days in Minsk before continuing to the city of Brest near the Polish border. Even though the language barrier was a challenge—I speak very limited Russian and few locals spoke English—I still enjoyed my stay.
Although I considered visiting Białowieża Forest, a massive primeval forest near Brest, I didn’t make it. Still, I remember being pleasantly surprised by the beautiful nature and green spaces of Belarus.
As many Belarusians will recognize, my photo at the top is of the famous blue-domed St. Nicholas’ Cathedral in Brest.

Why is there a Belarusian city generator on a travel site? It all started with choosing random destinations for my own travels. One journey led me to Nairobi, Kenya—and eventually to the idea of creating random tools to help others explore new places too. I’ve also made similar city generators for most of Belarus’s neighbors: Poland, Russia, and Ukraine.
