Asia is a continent of great diversity. From massive megacities to smaller towns, this randomizer picks a random city in Asia from any of the countries of the region.

Asia is a wonderful travel destination. In total, I’ve spent more than a year of my life exploring different countries of Asia, and I’ve only seen a glimpse of it. After my home continent Europe, I’ve spent the most time in Asia.

This random Asian city generator gives you a random city in Asia. You can use the generator to pick a random destination or for any other reason. And if you wish to pick a country instead of a city, you can use my Random Asian Country Generator instead.

Picking Random Asian Cities

Just like my other random city generators, this generator is based on Wikipedia’s list of cities with over 100,000 people – with a few modifications. First of all, I’ve included Asian capitals that are too small to fit in the list. I also restricted the entries to a maximum of 10 cities per country (sorry, Japan!) to balance the results.

This random Asian city generator uses a geographical definition of Asia. The generator contains cities from Russia and Turkey, but only if they’re located in the Asian parts of the countries.
