My Experiences of Türkiye
The only Turkish city I’ve visited is Istanbul. I first went there in 2016, near the start of my two-year trip around the world. While in Fiji, I met Müjdat, a Turkish backpacker, and we spent several days traveling together in Fiji and Tonga. When I returned to Europe and Turkey in 2018, we had a happy reunion in Istanbul.
I’ve since made plans to explore more of Turkey—at one point even sketching out a route that would take me all the way across the country from west to east. However, those plans haven’t come to fruition yet.
