My Own Travels in Mexico
I once spent over three months traveling through Mexico on public transport. As I traveled from town to town, I ended up seeing many smaller places with very few tourists. I started the journey by crossing the border in Nogales and traveled all the way to Yucatán.
One of my favorite memories from that journey is staying with my local Couchsurfing hosts in Hermosillo, Sonora. My hosts told me they wanted to meet me just to ask why on earth I was in Hermosillo!
My journey through Mexico was part of a longer journey. At the time, I was on a mostly flightless two-year trip around the world.
